Since 1974, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Panhandle has been helping to make a difference in the lives of children and youth in our community. We serve children, aged 6-14,
who are primarily from single parent families. We currently serve 160 children, with approximately 60 waiting to be matched with an adult mentor.
The Panhandle agency is part of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, a national organization, which has provided one-to-one mentoring relationships between adult volunteers and children for almost a century.
Our success results from the generous contributions of time and support from the community. For as little as 3-5 hours, two times a month, you too can be a part of a beautiful relationship with a child. This is all the time we ask of you to devote to a child.
